Description
The project cooperators are working with Hispanic orchard owner/operators in Washington State. Hispanic orchard owner/operators are the fastest growing group of new growers. Apple and pears cover more than 230,000 acres in Washington state with 4,000 individual operations. Their goal is the use of sound and reduced risk pest management information by 12 Hispanic tree fruit growers.
