Description
Between February 8 and March 16, 1995, we called 1,009 producers nationwide to determine how they felt about potential changes in the upcoming farm bill. AFT was the only organization that surveyed producers in advance of the farm bill. Over half of the producers currently enrolled in farm programs favored reform. Seventy-eight percent indicated they supported conservation compliance programs. Producers also expressed strong support for the retention of the Conservation Reserve Program.

Outcomes
