Establishing the Nation’s First Farmland Information Library

Description
An MOU with USDA’s National Agricultural Library in May, 1993 established AFT’s Farmland Information Center as the nation’s first farmland information center. We developed a business and operating plan in May and officially launched the FIC in June.
Outcomes
The business plan recommended establishing a state-of-the-art electronic library as the most efficient and cost-effective means to widely distribute information on farmland protection. The central library was housed at CAE.
