Pennsylvania Sustainable Agriculture Project -- 1992: On-farm Research and Demonstration Results
During the 1992 growing season, AFT and the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture established 10 on-farm research/demonstration sites on farms throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed and at other locations in the state with cooperating producers. On-farm plots were designed to address farm management problems with an emphasis on reducing impacts to water quality, preventing soil erosion, improving farm profitability and protecting the rural environment.
Summary report documenting the 1992 growing season results. The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, which AFT helped established, is still functioning ten years later.
